Glock 19 Mariner - The Glock 19 Mariner for an "undisclosed foreign government" is still under contract, and these interesting and highly functional collectibles are now on the market.
The name Mariner dates back to at least 2005. and Glock used it in Pacific Rim marketing (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore are Glock military/police users) and elsewhere for models including the Marine Spring Goggle as a standard item.

This is the inner part that locks the damper spring. Allows water, oil and debris to exit the rifle channel. This allows the pistol to be fired underwater and in particularly hostile environments without removing the outdoor slide.

While you can add Maritime Spring Cups to any standard Glock pistol, the Mariners come with them already installed from the factory. Will you really need it? Probably not, but to borrow a line from McConaughey, "It would be much better if you did."
The recent Glock 19 Mariners are rare birds as they are made in the USA, with Georgia markings and stamps on the frame, slide and barrel, in addition to the Mariner laser engraving on the slide. Also includes three Glock 19 magazines with OEM +2 baseplates and inserts cut for ambidextrous magazine release.

These Gen 3 Glocks have a few other external differences from other Gen 3 G19s in addition to the Mariner laser engraving slide on the front of the ejection port and the +2 mag.

Of interest to collectors is that most of the Glock factory hardshell cases in circulation here have red, white or blue labels depending on the application they were made for, while the Mariners have a fluorescent green label indicating they are American made specially for export. .

To be clear, the Mariner Gen 3 G19 isn't revolutionary per se, but it's now an unexpected sight in the US market that, as prized fish, you wouldn't want to see disappear.
